Return to Movement

Before you continue your journey, give your body one minute to remember what it feels like to move with joy.

Stand up if you're able.

Take one deep breath.

Reach both arms toward the sky, as though you're greeting the morning.

As you exhale, let your arms float back down.

Roll your shoulders forward...and then back.

Gently sway from side to side, allowing your body to move in whatever way feels natural.

Take a few slow steps.

Notice how your feet meet the ground.

If it feels good, stretch a little farther.

If it feels fun, add a little wiggle.

If music is nearby, let yourself move to the rhythm—even for just a few seconds.

There is no right way to do this.

Only your way.

Before you continue, ask yourself:

"What kind of movement would feel like care today?"

Carry that answer with you.

May this be your reminder:

Movement is not a punishment. It is one of the ways we participate in life.
